Tilbury Hub Rules & General Site Rules

By using the Tilbury Charging Hub, you are confirming that you have read, understood and will comply with both the Site Rules and the general Hub Rules below.

Any entry to and use of the Port of Tilbury Hub by a customer/user constitutes an agreement that the customer/user will comply with all Fleete rules and directions relating to the Hub.

Tilbury Site Rules

These rules may be updated from time to time.

  1. The site operates a one-way traffic management system as indicated by the red arrows on the map.
  2. Entry to the site is only permitted via the southern access.
  3. Exit is only permitted along the western interface with Perimeter Road. Left- and right-hand turning is allowed.
    Note the pedestrian path along the exit - be sure to check in both directions before pulling out of the site.
  4. High-visibility jackets or vests must be worn when outside the vehicle.
  5. There is strictly no smoking anywhere on site.
  6. The fire assembly point is in the south western corner of the site.
  7. After charging, the charging gun must be returned to its holder and the cable placed on the kerbed area.

In addition, by using the site you agree to comply with the Port of Tilbury London's bye-laws.

General Hub Rules

Definitions:

  • Hub is defined as the electric vehicle charging hub known as Tilbury at Tenant's Row, Port of Tilbury, RM18 7EH
  • Customer is defined sas the organisation signed up to use the Hub with the Service Provider
  • Hub User means any personnel authorised by the Customer (whether as an employee of the Customer or otherwise) to access the Hub pursuant to this Agreement.
  • Service Provider is defined as whoever the Customer has the direct contractual relationship with, either FLeete Group Limited, Fleete Assets UK, or an e-roaming partner/provider (e.g. a fuel card).
  • Charger System comprises all equipment, hardware, software, and systems that comprise the electric vehicle charging infrastructure installed at the Hub.

Hub Users must:

  1. Comply with all instructions and signs displayed at the Hub and given by the Service Provider in relation to the use of the Charger System.
  2. Operate vehicles safely, including parking and connecting vehicles properly when using the Charger System.
  3. Use the Charger System safely to avoid injury to any person or damage to property.

Hub Users must not:

  1. Overstay, i.e., Hub Users must ensure that when their vehicle is fully charged, the vehicle is removed to ensure it does not obstruct access to the Charger System for other users.
  2. Tamper, modify or interfere with the Charger System or its setup in any way.
  3. Break the Law or use the Charger System in any way that does not meet all applicable legal and safety regulations.
  4. Damage or misuse the Charger System (including physical damage, the introduction of malware, or any unreasonable use of the Charger System).
  5. Obstruct or damage the Charger System or Hub facilities.
  6. Deposit rubbish or litter in the Hub.
  7. Bring into or keep in the Hub any motor fuel or lubricating oil other than that inside the fuel tank, sump, and engine of the vehicle.
  8. Undertake any maintenance, repair, or cleaning of any vehicle at the Hub.
  9. Do anything that may be or become a nuisance or annoyance or cause the Service Provider to incur any liability to any other person using the Hub.
In addition, the Customer has the following responsibilites:

What the Customer Must Do:

  1. Co-operate with the Service Provider in all matters relating to the Services and the Agreement.
  2. Comply with all instructions from the Service Provider in relation to the delivery of the Services.
  3. Provide Information requested by the Service Provider and give the Service Provider prompt, accurate and complete details as needed and update the Service Provider if anything changes.
  4. Comply with Policies of the Service Provider as provided to the Customer and as amended by notification to the Customer from time to time.
  5. Ensure compliance by the Hub Users of the Hub Rules and any Site Rules.

What the Customer Must NOT Do:

  1. Disrupt other customers or interfere with other customers using the Charger System.
  2. Share access without permission, i.e., only the Customer’s business and authorised personnel may use the Charger System.
  3. Sell the Services (in whole or in part) to a third party without permission of the Service Provider.
  4. Use the Charger System as security, including as collateral for loans or other financial arrangements.
